13-Year-Old Among 2 People Wounded In Bronx Shooting

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – Police are looking for the gunman who shot and wounded two people in the Bronx, one of them a teenager.

The shooting happened at around 11 p.m. Friday on East 176th Street and Belmont Avenue in the East Tremont section.

Authorities say a 13-year-old boy was shot in the leg, another person was shot in the back.

The boy was hit while waiting for the bus in a bus shelter. He was struck in the buttocks. The 27-year-old was hit in the leg.

Both victims were transported to Saint Barnabas Hospital and are expected to recover.
